Meghan’s face cannot be clearly seen in the photo, which makes her Stella McCartney cape dress and Stephen Jones hat the main focus of the frame.
Royal fans of the duchess were quick to label it the standout snap from the Queen’s funeral.
“This shot of Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, will be iconic,” said Twitter user @ritaag.
While many agreed with the fan’s comment, others were left baffled by the image.
“Why? Because the photographer was hanging from the ceiling? Jeez, talk about getting excited about something that just isn’t exciting,” said one.
Added another: “Iconic compared to the death of the Queen?”
Wrote a third: “Never.”
Added one more: “And yet three weeks ago she was trashing the royal family. Hypocrite.”
Said another: “Lol, why?”
But many more applauded the image, agreeing that she was the “epitome of grace”.
“It’s magnificent. She looks ethereal,” one Twitter user responded.
Another added: “Yep. Artistically speaking, it’s excellent.”
A third said: “Wow.”
One more agrees: “She is iconic.”
